Butters John Bee are pleased to announce that we are instructed by liquidator Begbies Traynor to market the historic former town hall building and extension in Burslem, Stoke on Trent.

The first town hall was built in 1761 to be replaced by the current building in 1857.  It has been variously used as a library, recreation and visitor centre and is now a Grade II* Listed Building.

The glass extension was opened in 2003 to house the 'Ceramica' visitor attraction but closed in March 2011 after Stoke on Trent Council removed funding.

We have already received interest from local parties and hope to generate interest from national parties once a national advertising campaign is completed.

An asking price has not been set as all options will be considered. Butters John Bee Partner Rob Elliott adds, "The new build element would lend itself to retail use and the town hall might be attractive to pub or restaurant companies".

Offers will be considered by informal tender with a closing date to receive interest by March 2nd.  Details of the sale can be viewed by clicking here.

Please contact Rob Elliott or Robert Stevenson on 01782 212201 if you would like to register your interest.
