South Cheshire and North Staffordshire have always been my stomping ground! Five years as a pupil at the old Boys Grammar School in Crewe was followed by a further two years at the Mixed Sixth Form Centre, (where I met my wife!). During my teenage years my parents moved to a farmhouse in need of renovation near Alsager and this cemented (sorry for the pun) my ambitions for a career in property. I studied for three years and passed the Diploma in Estate Management at The Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. However, preferring life in a pair of brogues rather than wellies, I opted for a future in residential property and joined john A Bee and Company in 1985, originally as a Valuer. I became a Partner in 1989 and helped oversee the expansion of the Company up to its successful merger in 2001 with Charles Butters & Sons to form the Company that you see today.
My main role within the firm is as Partner in charge of our very busy Residential Sales Department, overseeing 11 branches covering an area as far as South Manchester one way to North Birmingham the other. I am also the Partner responsible for our expanding Auction Department which now holds major Auctions in Stoke on Trent, Stafford and South Cheshire.
Hang gliding, mountaineering and cross country running are just some of the many sports I would never dream of doing.... Just give me a glass of wine and a good football match on the T.V anytime!
