Rob Oulton MRICS FAAV

Residential Surveyor

I am a Charterd Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.

I have worked in the property profession since leaving school and joined the local firm of Whittaker and Biggs in Congleton as a trainee Surveyor and Auctioneer dealing with Agricultural and Residential properties and auctioneering in the livestock market and chattels auction rooms. I qualified as as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000 and became a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 2003.
I joined Butters John Bee in 2007 as a Chartered Surveyor dealing primarily with residential properties, but given the diverse nature of the Butters John Bee business I also specialise in Rural and agricultural properties and undertake valuations for any purpose and Home Buyers Surveys. Regular auctioneering duties are undertaken at our Warner Street auction rooms where we sell anything and everything!
After joining Butters John Bee I began undertaking condition reports for Methodist properties known as Quinquennial reports which can be quite complex and detailed surveys. I have also recently began working under the supervision of Partner and Financial Director Steve Collis to undertake surveys for Capital Allowance claims upon commercial properties, where upon the value of items of plant, fixtures and integral features of such properties may be offset against taxation.
I have also qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor and now prepare energy performance certificates (EPCs) for the inclusion in the Home Information Pack and for rental properties.
Away from the office I am a keen Stoke City fan and enjoy walking my dog Ruby in the surrounding countryside.
