I started in a small independent agents in 1970, who did everything from furniture auctions, drawing plans for buildings and land, lettings, rent collection, surveys and valuations, residential and commercial sales by auction and private treaty all from an office with 4 staff in total, so as you can imagine I gained experience in many different areas.
After a brief sojourn into the licensed trade, owning an hotel in the mid 1980's, I returned to estate agency with a national corporate estate agency becoming an area manager covering 6 branches. In 2003 I joined Butters John Bee to open their new Congleton office, the town where I grew up, and since moved to Alsager and latterly including Kidsgrove, concentrating on residential property sales.
When I'm not selling houses I spend my time improving my own house where I live with my wife Ruth and 2 teenage children, not forgetting a couple of grown up kids that visit from time to time. A keen woodworker, I can bore for England about my hobby, so dont ask if your not prepared!
