I attended the college of Building & Commerce in Stoke-on-Trent, taking a full time course leading to the Direct Membership Exams of the R.I.C.S. After 2 years relevant experience I qualified as a General Practice Chartered Surveyor in 1979.
My working life has been spent entirely in North Staffordshire & South Cheshire, but with occasional forays into neighbouring territories. My first 10 years of employment were spent with the old firm of Charles Butters, before leaving to work for both myself and other local practices. I rejoined the new partnership of Butters John Bee in 2003. My specialised work is residential surveying and valuing, homebuyer reports, development appraisals, home energy reports and compulsory purchase and compensation.
In my spare time I like to be involved in local community activities. I enjoy country walking with friends and my retired greyhound, motorcycle touring and the occasional visit to the gym or round of golf.
